Chinese Deer Horn blades one of the most challenging builds I've had at the forge.

These Chinese Deer Horn blades were made from 80CRV2 steel with Springbok scales, hidden micarta pins and a blasted finish. These were a dificult build because of the multiple radius, inside and out, that needed to be beveled and sharpened. Also the Springbok scales were a challenge to fit. I used three .25" "hidden" micarta pins to help secure the scales to the blades. It was also challenging to get both of them to match. All in all it was a good experience but trying on my patience and skills.
